These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MyFirstPayslip application and website (myfirstpayslip.co.uk), operated by Michelle Brown.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a MyFirstPayslip account, you confirm you are 18 or older and are creating the account as the parent or legal guardian of any child profiles added to the family account. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

MyFirstPayslip is a family financial literacy application that allows parents to assign tasks and lessons to their children, approve payments for completed work, and help children learn about earning, saving, and tax through a simulated payslip system. All money managed within the app pots is illustrative and managed at the parent's discretion; MyFirstPayslip does not itself transfer real currency into any child's personal bank account.

3. Subscription and Billing

MyFirstPayslip is offered as a monthly family subscription at £3.99/month, covering all child profiles within one family account. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. If not cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and be billed via Stripe. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused days.

4. Parental Responsibility

As the account holder, you are responsible for:

• Setting appropriate tasks and pay amounts for your child
• Approving all payments before they are released
• Safeguarding your account login details and your child's PIN
• Ensuring the use of the app is appropriate for your child's age and needs

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another family's account or a child's profile outside your own family
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the MyFirstPayslip service

6. Intellectual Property

All content, lesson material, branding, and software associated with MyFirstPayslip remain the property of Michelle Brown. You may not reproduce or redistribute this content without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

MyFirstPayslip is provided "as is." While we take reasonable care to keep the service running reliably, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting account deletion.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
